We're in the final weeks now of our HK life and have really packed in the visitors in April and May. I was so happy that all three Stone sisters came for a trip before we leave Asia. Aletta gets bonus points for coming a second time and so does her hot pink Subway sweatshirt, which has also been to Asia twice. My brothers-in-law Jon and Matt also came along and were troopers rolling with four ladies.
We spent the first three days of their visit in Hong Kong, hitting some of the usual spots and trying out a couple of new things. Giant tea?
We did a harbor tour on the pretty Aqua Luna...
We wandered around HK island, looked in some shops, stopped at a temple, and Aletta wanted to stop get some street food with the locals.
She ordered the "eight treasures" noodle soup. Only about one of the treasures was tasty and the other seven balls were not quite treasure.
Then up to the Peak, of course.
More sister photo ops after dinner.
The next day we had to roll with the punches as cable car maintenance + public holiday, meant our trip to the Big Buddha got thwarted. So we retooled with bubble tea, wandered around the Kowloon side a bit with the locals, had more street food, and got a group foot massage.
Each of our masseuses had some style differences.... Missy was the only one to receive this particular treatment, which we all loved.
After the relaxing (?) foot massages, we freshened up and got all proper for our high (really high) tea at the Ritz on the 102nd floor.
The next morning we had dim sum lunch at my favorite place.
One last favorite pic of these two before we head to Bali! Um, Aletta, you've got something in your teeth...
